Southern Cross Spars can completely review and upgrade your rig and boat layout to make it safer and easier to sail, also improving the boats overall performance.
- We can bring control lines back to the cockpit giving easier handling of the boat.
- Install single line reef systems which allow safe reefing from the cockpit in heavy weather.
- Change out old wire to rope halyards for lightweight modern fibre ropes that are much easier to handle avoiding those barbs on worn wire and sail damage.
Deck hardware can be upgraded to include modern rope clutches, self tailing winches and deck organisers. Spinnaker boom stowage systems on the mast and vangs/kicks to increase sail performance. Modern genoa cars and tracks for easy and safe sail trimming from the cockpit.- Electric in mast sail furlers as well as electric genoa rollers can be installed to make sail handling much easier from the cockpit.
In stock we have a complete range of roller sail furling systems to make sail handling easier and safer; we can also upgrade existing or fit new electric furling systems.- We can produce new carbon poles to replace aluminium ones if you are looking for less weight or added performance.
